Chicago Trip 2012 - Day 3, Part 2

After lunch we admired the architecture as we walked down to the Chicago River.

Tribune Tower

Tribune Tower

The Tribune Tower has over 100 fragments incorporated into it of other historic buildings/structures from around the world.  These include the Taj Mahal, the Parthenon, Westminster Palace, the Great Wall of China, Angkor Wat, Notre Dame de Paris, the Great Pyramid, the Alamo, the Berlin Wall and the World Trade Center
Wrigley Building

We walked East along the riverfront to River Esplanade Park, where the Nicholas J. Melas Centennial Plaza and Fountain is located.  Once an hour the fountain shoots a huge arc of water across the river from the North to the South side.  We arrived just in time to see catch the 2:00 event.
Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink

Pretty impressive

Take that, South side!

Good timing
