Chicago Trip 2012 - Day 3, Part 1

Ok, so where was I?  Oh yeah....day 3.

Up at 7am this morning.  The hotel doesn't have an in-room coffee maker (and I'm ok with that), so I went downstairs to the hotel restaurant Cafe Des Architectes where they have free coffee service set up on the bar.  Very nice for the morning zombie set like me.  Took my decaf coffee back to the room, grabbed a paper in our floor's elevator lobby on the way, and read/relaxed surfed on the iPad until 11:45am.  I took some photos from the room of the clouds moving in and of the church across the way.

Cloudy, with a chance of meatballs heatwave

Actually the Archbishop Quigley Center, home of the Archdiocese of Chicago Office of Catholic Schools

Bentley or divine enlightenment - which one is harder to obtain?

Notice in the photo above the guy in the white shirt squatting down in the lower right corner.  He was taking photos of the Bentleys across the street through the gaps between the parked cars.

After showering, we walked to to Gino's East Pizza on E. Superior for lunch.  I had a house salad w/no dressing, and we split an order of spinach-artichoke dip and a small pepperoni deep-dish pizza.  Crossed deep-dish pizza off the to-do list.  Added angioplasty to the to-do list.
The aftermath
"I couldn't find a white marker, so I wrote my name "in the snow" style"

Now let's talk about yellow pants.  I have no problem with yellow pants.  If that's your personal style, then good for you - it's a bold choice.  However, if said yellow pants are a bit on the see-through side, and you choose to pair them with a bright/bold blue-and-white checked shirt, then maybe you should not be allowed to make your own choices.

I see the video quality is not so great on here.  I'll have to learn more about video options.  In the meantime, here's a pic:
Um, excuse me...
