Disney World Thanksgiving Camping Trip - Day 5: Epcot

Epcot was on our agenda for this day, and we got to spend another great day with our friend Jackie who lives near the park.

There was an amazing display using projection technology to showcase upcoming changes to Epcot
This centerpiece was a solid white model that was overlaid with projection and animations.  It really was incredible to see. Some samples are below and I'll have more photos and a full-length video in another post.  This appears to be the same projection technology used to immerse you in the cartoon world of the newly-opened (as of this writing) Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway at the Hollywood Studios.
The Moana-themed Journey of Water

The Play! pavilion

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Let's not forget the World Showcase
New films in the China and Canada pavilions, a Beauty and the Beast sing-a-long in France, also in France...
...Ratatouille!
And the United Kingdom pavilion is getting a mysterious new attraction themed to Mary Poppins

We rode everything except for Frozen and Mission Space, then toured the World Showcase

After we said our goodbyes to Jackie, Todd and I used the Skyliner gondola to pop over to Hollywood Studios and see Star Wars land at night.  I like Star Wars well enough, but am not overly vested in the universe.  Still, the theming here is excellent.
