Today we start for home. I didn't make any notes, so I'll just caption the photos.

Funny, I always thought both tunnels were collectively called The Eisenhower Tunnel. Apparently you exit through Johnson's tunnel. |
"Mr. Johnson, we have the results of your colonoscopy, and, well, they don't look good." |
On the way down from the mountains we see the construction that led us to the detour earlier in the week |
We drove past in a window of time when no blasting work was scheduled |
Kansas moon |
Taken near Ellsworth, KS |
Lots of cloud/sky photos. Sorry if that's not your thing. |
Heading toward Salina, KS and our stop for the night. Rain on the horizon. |
I liked the light coming through the donut hole in this cloud |
We managed to miss the rain |
Another moon shot |
Lastly, looking through the sunroof |
Back in Salina, our stop for the night. There's a small church near the hotel. |
The coveted perfect parking spot: on the end, under the light, and right outside the room window. |
We left Salina the next morning and drove home without incident, stopping for lunch at Logan's in Moore, OK. Or Texas Roadhouse. They're both the same if you ask me.
All in all, it was a great, relaxing, no-pressure trip. Thanks for reading.
