Sundance Square

Saturday afternoon.

The Remains Part 2

Moist chocolate cake with drunken (champagne-soaked) berries. Apparently I only thought I was full before.

The Remains

Lunch at Reata in Fort Worth.  I couldn't finish the last of my bison burger with onion, cheddar and barbecue sauce on a jalepeno cheddar bun. So good.

Three Dreams

I had three distinct, vivid dreams last night:

In the first I was with Sigourney Weaver and Samuel L. Jackson in a Jurassic Park fight for survival that took place in what used to be an abandoned mall onboard a massive colonization space ship.  The  last survivors were trying to live a normal life in the mall, thinking they were safe - then the raptors came...

The second dream had Todd and I shopping in an old-time, small town thrift/resale shop.  The store had a lot of old second-hand country furniture, plates, dishes, jars and glasses, folksy decorative things, and craft items.  Apparently for Christmas my brother and niece are getting wooden candle pillars with candles carved to look like birds.

The last dream turned dark again, and after drifting for a bit ended up being about a group of children stranded in a nature preserve and trying unsuccessfully to avoid a group of black bears.  Instead they end up surrounded by lions and bears, and the results were gruesome.  Luckily I woke up after the first mauling.

So there you have it.  I can account for the origin of the thrift shop dream, as I heard a blurb on the radio as I was coming home from work yesterday - a portion of a story where a daughter was recounting that her frugal mother had a discount card at the thrift store.  The other two dreams though - I have no clue.  I'd like to see the movie of the first one (dinosaurs in space with an Alien-ish vibe and Sigourney Weaver and Samuel L. Jackson?  Hell yeah), and forget the last one.
